Wistarburgh Utility Bottle 1750s

Year: 1750-1800

Weight:1.5 lbs

Good Wistarburgh yellow green utility bottle circa 1740-1760. This particular bottle came out of my personal collection I had 2 this size its in very good condition it has typical heavy base wear and some overall body scratches, 8 3/4" it weighs 1 lb.! This yellow green glass is very heavy and hard. To the best of my knowladge these yellow green utilty bottles only come from NJ the mas majority were made at Wistarburgh. Other simalar shaped  bottles are found in different shades of darker green glass were made at Wistarburg along with other 18th century glass works of the period so it can be difficult to tell one from another. This bottle has a rather nice atypical squat form.
