Antique Details

Large heavy and early redware fat or grease lamp found in New England many years ago it is 10 1/2" tall heavy too 2 1/2 lbs. Handle has a thumb rest indicative of the early period.Coggling as seen on Slipware plates of the period. Its seen a lot of use with minor chipping if only this lamp could speak its an early one.Clear glaze obscured on the upper from years of use. I think the images should tell the rest. A rare for likely American.
