Very early crude water pail made from Pine or Maple or both Im not sure,Wrought iron and brass. One of the earlier pieces I have listed this piece could easily be 17th century.Condition is as to be expexted for such a surviver.It May have been dropped into the well for water or to carry it into the house.It nay have used for about anything liquid.There is a very early make do repair on the bottom it looks like pitch from the sap of a Pine tree.If you like primitve and early this is it.Lots of character ! 7 inches high
