This is a splint basket woven with both wide and narrow splints. It is rectangular and open at the top. Most weavers are painted mustard yellow. There are designs in red and green stamped onto the splint at regular intervals. These designs were cut into a potato, dipped in ink, and then applied to the basket. It was found in northern New England, 14" x 10 3/4" x 10" tall.
