Expertly Turned Wooden South Jersey Vase

Weight:1 lbs

A collector of American South Jersey might recognize this.A locally found Walnut vase turned on a lathe it is an exact replica of vases made in South Jersey in the mid 19th century. The wood has a really warm smooth patina completely original it gives away that this is not a modern replica but someone that knew first hand what the glass vase made in this form looked like right down to the spool shaped pedestal, the sharp cut where the extra gather of glass would have been applied. You`d have to a serious glass student to understand this. it is sophisticated replica made during the same period of the glass counterpart. Even if that doesn't include you the skill can skill to make this vase can still be appreciated.I am excited to offer this.Perfect for dried flowers but it need nothing it stands alone as a work of art.lovely!
