18th Century South Jersey Pocket Flask

Year: 1750-1800

Weight:1 lbs

Here is an Excellent example of a scare if not rare Wistarburgh pocket bottle in super condition. This flask is 6 3/4" high ,sheared lip and pontled base.Loads of wear on the base as expected from bottle of this period,Made from typical medium yellw green glass. The Wistarburgh Factory site is still full of of chunks and shards of glass just like this. It just keeps surfacing season after season.Although there were one or two other glass works during the colonial period they were short lived.Wistarburg made glass for about 45 years and is credited for being the first successful glass factory America. It was the exceptional quailty of both clarity and durability of this pale yellow green glass.I have nothing negitive to say about this one!
