Chester County blanket box circa 1790 belonging to Sarah Wistar a Quaker and Grand Daughter of Casper Wistar entrepreneur Brass button maker and founder of the 1st truly successful glass factory in America 1739 to aprox 1780. Comes with full family provenance. Bought directly from an hier.Smaller size box made from Walnut dovetailed case with braket feet. Restoration in the early 20th century .  40" x 17" 20" This chest has traveled to Montana and back during its lifetime.
