Leaping Staf frit weight made by Michael Kane at the Whitall Tatum Glass Works Millville NJ circa 1900. Kane is best known for his sporting related paperweights and was one of the masters working at that time. Besides the hunting scene of the hound dog and quail he is also responsible for the upright footed sailing ship or schooner and horse weights.
