Terrific family history included. The Wading River is now most commonly know for canoeing and kayaking down its scenic waterways. The Bodine family had land and at what is now called Harrisville pond where their family once owned and operated a Tavern in the 18th century. Possibly where Rebbeca was born. If one were to canoe down the Wading River from the “Pond” they would go by “Bodine Field” now a state owned camp site in the Warton forest. Several pages of Local and family history included.
