Cut at the Peale museum circa 1800 the Davids family was likely Quaker and friends if not relatives of Caper Wistar also Quaker son of Casper Wistar the glass maker. I purchased many items from the direct descendant of CW. More info can be provided. I believe this family lived in Chester County. The 2 cuttings of Hugh Davides are particularly interesting they show the boy at 2 different stages in his life. Cuttings of children are not common. Im speculating that the cutting of R.W. Davides is ”Richard Wistar Davids” father of the boy?
