Year: 18th century - early 19th century
Cut at the Peale museum circa 1800 the Davids family was likely Quaker and friends if not relatives of Caper Wistar also Quaker son of Casper Wistar the glass maker. I purchased many items from the direct descendant of CW. More info can be provided. I believe this family lived in Chester County. The 2 cuttings of Hugh Davides are particularly interesting they show the boy at 2 different stages in his life. Cuttings of children are not common. Im speculating that the cutting of R.W. Davides is ”Richard Wistar Davids” father of the boy?Enquire!
