Early 19th century butter churn 10" tall by 7 1/4" dia. A a rare form in redware. A similar dated example is at the Salem Co historical Society attributed to the Acton Pottery there. Expected , it was drilled for a lamp base. Finding another is unlikely. The churning of butter was to hard on redware as it is prone to cracking unlike stoneware or wood
