Rare Pr. South Jersey Fraktur

Rare pair of early Southern New Jersey birth records.  Both completely original and untouched except for acid free paper behind each on. Clayton and Sarah  Randolph were born in Monmouth County in 1799 and 1800. Drawn by an unknown local hand. Both are framed in their period veneered frames with a solid Poplar back board. Frame size is 9 3/4" x 9 3/4".

Clayton Benjamin Randolph and Sarah Randolph were born in Monmouth Co.  Their parents were Jabe and Martha Randolph.   Martha must have died young, as Jabe remarried in 1811 in Beaver Co. PA and had large family in Beaver City. 

Clayton was a blacksmith who lived in Springfield, Burlington Co. in 1830 , in Northampton, Burlington in 1840 and in Southampton, Burlington Co.  in 1850 and died in 1869 in Dryden, Michigan. Clayton Benjamin born 5 Sept 1799 per the birth record. “Of Northampton” when he married 1820 Sarah Hartsgrove in Burlington. In Northampton 1840, Medford, Burlington County 1848, then died 1869 in Michigan. Blacksmith. Survived by his wife

Sarah Ann Randolph married 1843 Daniel Lee in EnglishCreek, Atlantic Co, and died 1881 Egg Harbor.
