American Nailsea Sugar Bowl

Weight:1.5 lbs

Mid 19th century blue glass bowl and lid made in the nailsea tradition. As the photo shows this is a real beauty much more so in person. Made from blues lead glass probably around 1850 or so. Hard to attribute but likely made in Pittsburgh Pa or the New England Glass Works but South Jersey can`t be ruled out. Lead glass was certainly used in NJ but seldom gets much credit for it. Perfect but for a small chip on the edge of the applied foot.
