Year: 18th century - early 19th century
Late 18th -early 19th century Cider mug. 3 3/4" tall only very minor threading loss large tubular pontil. Im not so sure this is related to the clear threaded tankards that turn up time to time usually attrubuted to Europe. This is the only little barrel formed mug Ive ever seen, the glass is heavy and the handle terminal is diffiernt than the clear tankards that turn up. Possibly American,Stiegel, Philda.,MD, NJ ? or Bohemian. Exact form and size of simalar mugs attributed to Stiegel and th Mid West.
