Here`s a foot warmer that Ive never seen difinatly unique. The door slids up into the top kind of like a garge door. When the door is down it would keep the tin ash tray from sliding out.Made with skill the door operates smoothly. The rear panel is hand planed just like a paneled door of the period. Touched off by 5 heart shaped cut outs. One corner has a very old chip that blends in when viewed from above it looks like morethan it is from the shot of the base. Pine and Poplar with paint decoration making it look like a more valuable wood like Mahogany.Early to mid 19th century.Enquire!
