Year: 18th century - early 19th century
Probably one of a kind early cobalt blue sander with silver top. 1 7/8" high x 1 1/4 diameter.Im not sure if the lid is actully sterling or plated any way its stuck I havent tried to open it. Small piece used to sprinkle sand onto freshly drawn ink to help the ink dry quickly. The pounce would absorb. Found here in Jersey for what thats worth it looks like an off hand piece to me.Enquire!
