Year: 19th century
Extremely fine and rare Tiger Maple presentation long spoon or scoop unlikely it was never intended to be used. The entire piece is scribed with a sharp instrument. The handle is inlaid with copper,Cherry wood and brass and bone over 13 inches long it is quite impressive surprisingly light in weight due to age. There is the name N.Critson etched into the underside of the handle. I attempted to do a little research thinking it was a North Eastern piece but the only N Critson I found was in Indiana in 1850. If you like Tiger Maple ,who doesn’t you will love it!
