Decorated Red Earthenware Bowl

Year: Late 19th - early 20th century

Weight:2 lbs

Unusual Redware bowl made from red eathenware covered in a mustard color Rockingham glaze with daubs of manganese glaze also a creamy white colored glaze coats the inside. Its my belief that this was made at one of the many Rockingham Potteries in the Trenton N.J. area that is one of the few places I know of that did use redware from time to time and coated the inside of some of thier presentation pitchers. Probably mid to late 19th century. 9+ inches diameter gteat shape no cracks only little signs of usage as expected. Id say it must be rare.
