I cant say enough about this early milk glass decanter in a magnum size. I personally have never seen the decanter form so large let alone in milk glass not opalescent glass but true milk glass that has a greenish aqua tint when held up to direct light this is haw I find white glass made in South Jersey not that it couldn’t have been made some where else but Jersey is a possibility for sure. The piece is a bit over 11” tall and a good 6: wide with 3 applied rings around the neck to make grasping it easier. there is a large Simi ground tubular pontil and slight grinding inside the neck so it probably did have a stopper that would have put it over the top size wise. No chips or cracks probably American 1830-1850s.
